Choose a River Cruise for Your Next Journey

Just returned from an Amadeus River Cruise through the Netherlands & Belgium. It was an immersive cultural journey and one heck of a lot of fun! This is one reason river cruising has exploded in the last decade!

River cruises can be compared to deluxe boutique hotels. With an average of 100 to 190 passengers on board, it never feels crowded. Basically, your hotel travels with you as you explore the world’s navigable rivers in comfort, and you unpack only once.

When the ship docks in a city, it is usually conveniently close to the city center. Varied land excursions based on interest and activity level are available daily. Exploring on your own is also easy, and your tour director is happy to assist with ideas. River cruising provides a hassle-free, intimate atmosphere, with local food and wine presentations that are truly impressive.

I attended the ASTA (American Association of Travel Advisors) River Cruise Expo in Amsterdam in March prior to this cruise. Being able to inspect and dine on the 14 different River Cruise lines in attendance was eye opening.

I can now better guide my clients through the process of choosing the right cruise line for them.

Just like hotels, River Cruises are NOT created equal.  Understanding exactly what is included in your river cruise itinerary enables a better choice.  This is where I come in. Thinking about a river cruise? Let’s plan it the right way.
