We know that booking a vacation during this time of travel restrictions and general uncertainty can feel risky. To take that risk away from you, we have a new cancellation policy for all new bookings for 2021 and 2022 voyages. Cancel for any reason in the future, and we promise that you’ll receive your refund–including your deposit*–within 14 days.

Does this new cancellation policy apply to all bookings?
It is valid for all NEW individual bookings for voyages in 2021 and 2022 made between 1 September and 31 October 2020. If you have an existing booking or are part of a group booking, the current terms and conditions apply.
Can I cancel at any time?
Cancellations must be made at least 90 days before your cruise if due to depart between January and September 2021, and at least 180 days for cruises sailing between October 2021 and December 2022.
If I cancel, will I also get my deposit back?
Yes, you will receive a refund on what you paid, including your deposit.
When will I get my money back if I cancel?
We promise to get the money back into your account within 14 days from the time you cancel.
Is there a cancellation fee?

A small cancellation fee per passenger is required to process the transaction. Please see the Terms and Conditions for more information.

If the deposit amount is less than the cancellation fee, normal cancellation rules apply.

What about flights, hotels and transfers?
If you have booked flights, hotel and transfers through Hurtigruten, the “Book with Confidence” policy applies. If you book flights, hotels or transfers on your own, you need to contact your supplier directly.
If travel restrictions prohibit me from travelling, will I get a refund?
If you have booked with us, we promise to refund you within 14 days from when you cancel. However, if you have booked through a travel agent, you will need to contact them for your refund. Please be aware that they may have a separate refund policy and schedule.
Is this policy valid for me if rebooking using a voucher?
Unfortunately, this policy only applies to new bookings and is not valid for those rebooking using a voucher. But if you are rebooking using a voucher and your new sailing is affected by Covid-19 in the future, don’t worry, you will still be able to renew your voucher and choose another sailing.
Is it safe to sail?
Several of our ships have already been approved to sail along the Norwegian coast all summer. Rest assured that there are a wide range of health and hygiene measures in effect on board to keep you safe as we travel together.
