Why Consider A Destination Wedding?

Getting married in a beautiful and romantic destination is what every engaged couple dreams of. In addition to making all your dreams come true, a destination wedding is also:

Most resorts have full-time, onsite wedding planners, arranging every aspect of your special day and leaving you nothing to do but relax.

Having your family and special friends around you in a beautiful destination will create a celebration you’ll never forget.

Destination weddings are often less expensive than traditional weddings due to their smaller size. In addition, you’re already in the destination where you plan to spend your honeymoon, and many resorts offer special complimentary weddings or affordable wedding packages. You’ll also spend a lot less by choosing an all-inclusive resort where much of the food and beverage expense is part of the lodging costs that will be assumed by your guests. You can also save more by having your wedding during the slow season in the destination you choose.

With many of today’s families spread out throughout the United States, they’ll have to travel to your wedding anyway, so why not have them travel to a beautiful and fun destination instead!?

The Best Honeymoon Ideas

This past summer a client called me about planning a honeymoon getaway in Cozumel.  They had been looking on line & found what they perceived to be a perfect honeymoon resort.  I knew that the resort was a decent 4 star property but a very average honeymoon resort.  Instead of expressing my opinion on the best honeymoon ideas I preceded to ask them why they chose the resort & the destination.  I also knew that it was low season & many upscale all-inclusive resorts offer great rates & extra resort amenities to attract guests.

Once I discovered that money was really the motivating factor not the location or the resort I was able to offer them the best honeymoon ideas to fit  their dream & budget.  Earlier that day I had come across an unbelievable honeymoon offer at the El Dorado Resort & Spa on the Riviera Maya through MLT Vacations.   The resort was offering a free room upgrade, a honeymoon package, which included a romantic dinner for two on the beach, & a two for one airfare through Delta.  I sent the info on the resort & explained that this was truly an amazing offer.  Once they took a look at the property, the price and all that was included in the package they were sold.

I always call my client after they return from vacation to ask about their trip & accommodations.  They loved it!!

Honeymoon Tips

Are you looking for some Honeymoon tips?

Using a honeymoon travel agent can really make or break your search for the prefect honeymoon getaway. We know about specials & resorts that are prefect for honeymooners.

Most recently I booked a Jamaican honeymoon for a couple.  Both of them enjoyed golf, beach & spa and were 30 years old.  I suggested Couples Swept away in Negril Jamaica.  The resort was offering free golf & with their budget they could afford the best room in the house.  This resort has a real Jamaican feel & couples keep returning.

After spending weeks looking at others ideas for them they booked Couples Swept away.

They just return last week from their honeymoon and they loved!!

Booking Direct Does NOT Save Money!

Booking your destination wedding, or honeymoon direct does NOT save you money!!

The best kept secret in the travel industry is that those who book direct are paying for something that they are not receiving: the services of a professional travel agent.

What do I mean by this?  You will pay my commission or service fee because it is always built into the price of your package by the very supplier who is encouraging you to book direct.    Do they discount my commission to you so you save money…absolutely not!  I realize that we live in a society where goods & services are just a click away but consider this. Once you book direct and give your credit card to the call center in Mumbai India you will receive a computer printout and you are now a computer statistic.  In other words you are on your own. Hopefully nothing will go wrong.

Now that we have determined that prices are equal why not trust the travel planners at Time Travels inc. with your destination wedding, honeymoon or anniversary trip.

For one thing I truly care about my clients and put their interests first.

Our travel agents take pride in giving unbiased opinions to our clients. We are not selling off of one website from one travel supplier.  We compare the competition & offer you current options that often save you money. We advise you on the very best product that meets your travels needs.  We can point out the advantages & disadvantages of several travel companies & point out the best destination wedding location for your group.

We take inter consideration your budget for your honey vacation & also find the best bang for that buck.  We provide documentation & advice about ports & sightseeing options and many times have affiliated offices aboard. One of the most important things we do is analyze your travel insurance needs & help you make the correct decision.

Suppose something does go wrong.  Someone gets sick and your need to return home in a hurry.  Your travel agent is your advocate & will help you through it.  When booking direct you have no advocate. When my clients are traveling I know where they are and what they will most likely encounter.  I worry about them until they return.  I doubt that an online booking engine is capable of this emotion toward a travel statistic.

Jamaica Wedding Trip

Written by: Andre

I love Jamaica.  It was so fun to return again this time for a destination wedding seminar at Sandals Whitehouse Resort & Spa. Yes, another working vacation in paradise.

Sandals Whitehouse is on the south side to Jamaica.  An hour & 40 minute (Mario Andretti) ride over the mountains.  For clients staying less than 4 nights I would not suggest it because of the distance.  For a slightly longer stay the drive is well worth it.

If you seek luxury accommodations, gourmet dining, premium liquor, a first class spa, free diving, a swim up bar & quiet pools, a honeymoon vacation, or a designer destination wedding while surrounded by quiet elegance, Sandals Whitehouse is an excellent choice.  I was impressed.

From the moment I arrived at Sandal’s White House the decompression started immediately. I was given a pink signature drink & cool towel as I checked in & given direction to my concierge suite while my luggage followed behind.  I found a bottle of French sparkling blanc de blanc waiting in my concierge beach front walk out suite.   I immediately poured myself a glass of bubbly & took a swim.

That evening we dined with the Sandals wedding coordinators on the terrace over looking the main pool.  The staff served a five coarse wedding feast from one of the Martha Stewart designer weddings packages.  The collaboration between Martha Stewart & Sandals is a hit.  Their 6 themed wedding packages range in price from $1500 for the “Flutter of Romance” to $6000 for the” Island Paradise”.  Between the Sandal's seminar & the resort inspection I found time to enjoy a Red Lane Spa treatment, the numerous gourmet dining options & views of the Caribbean Sea from my beach front suite. My own slice of heaven!

For our last evening at Sandals White House the wedding staff put on a mock wedding dinner & reception right on the beach. The only thing missing was the bride & groom. For the couple who dreams of a beach wedding in an exotic location, it is hard to imagine a more beautiful setting.
