What is a Villa Vacation?

Most people think of a villa vacation as just a villa rental, a time share condo or renting an apartment.  A new concept called the Villa Vacation is much more.  A Villa Vacation has the amenities & service of a 5 star luxury resort plus the extra space of a vacation rental.  A Villa Vacation is a fully staffed private villa in Tuscany, Italy with a private driver, chef & staff to take care of your every need.

Properties

A Villa Vacation is a residence at the Grand Wailea Maui where friends & family rent a 3 bedroom luxury town house that is part of the resort & has access to all resort amenities.

A Villa Vacation is a luxury condo rental at the All-inclusive Generations Riviera Maya.  This ocean front property offers amazing ocean views & also offers adult access to the El Dorado Royale AI Resort next door.

Villa vacations are great for multigenerational families traveling together. Villa Vacations are an excellent destination wedding option.  A Villa Vacation is a great option for a group of friends that prefer more space but also demand the services of a deluxe resort.

Why Choose A Destination Wedding?

1)You choose the gorgeous backdrop for your destination wedding. Beach weddings are very popular but there are infinite wedding locations. (Couples love getting married by water as it is a marvelous stage.)

2)You can combine the wedding & the honeymoon. No need to book a separate honeymoon trip. The bride & groom can stay with the wedding party or honeymoon at another resort nearby. (An adult’s only all-inclusive resort is heavenly without the kiddie pool but if children are attending then a family resort with lots of amenities is a wise choice.)

3)This is a great time to spend real time with your friends & family. You will have more than a few minutes with friends as your wedding day is spread out over several days. Do not be disappointed in those that cannot make it though. Usually the guest pays for their own trip. (Keep the welfare of your guests in mind. You know your friends & family. If you want them at your destination wedding do not break their banks!)

4)Wedding couples can save a lot of money depending on their destination wedding location. Remember that you are not paying for sit a down dinner for 200 guests. Destination weddings tend to be smaller & more intimate. (Your guests are traveling to be with you. Make it special for them too. Put on a bit of a show.)

5)You can do it your way. Usually the bride is inundated with wedding advice from good intentioned friends & family. It can be over whelming. No need to listen to them. You would be wise, however, to take the advice of the resorts wedding coordinator. ( I do not suggest having a destination wedding at a resort without a wedding coordinator unless it is a very small wedding with lower expectations.)

Review of the Hard Rock Resort, Punta Cana.

The Hard Rock Resort Punta Cana was more like Pop Rock Punta Cana, but we still enjoyed ourselves.

Traveled to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic over Christmas 2015 & stayed at the Hard Rock Resort for 7 NTS with my husband & 2 teenagers. Beside the annoying Caribbean pop rock which played continually we really enjoyed ourselves. This may be unfair but I expected to hear more rock & roll as we were staying at the Hard Rock Resort. (I did get to know the DJ at one of the music pools.  He took & played requests...yeah!)hard-rock-hotel-casino

The resort is large & spread out but the placement of our room, a sand suite, in the center of the resort was a grand location.  Pictures, quotes & paraphernalia of all kinds from current & past rockers filled the lobby, restaurants & suites. Our spacious sand suite, with a full Jacuzzi in the center, had an early picture of the Fab Four i.e. the Beatles relaxing in the sun…very cool. But, I never once heard their music played.

The resort has decent restaurants & bars and the restaurant by the beach “Isla” (open air) proved to be my favorite. We had the breakfast buffet & lunch their almost daily. The Mexican & Asian dining also deserve a nod! The resort offered nightly events like a beach party barbeque & a Michael Jackson show which were very fun. Prefect weather -Rained at night but in the low 80's every day.Hard-Rock-Resort-Beach-view

Service at the Hard Rock was pleasant. The staff is very helpful & friendly considering how hard they have to work. Although gratuities are included a tip does bring a smile.

The main building furthest from the beach has the large air conditioned cool indoor mall which houses the shops, restaurants, gym & the spa. We used are Hard Rock points in the spa which was truly a treat. The Spa & service in it are excellent. All 4 of us had a massage via resort credit points + the 20% tax on the service.

If you seek beach, sun & sand then Punta Cana, Dominican Republic is for you. Walking the beach near the Hard Rock Resort was lovely & cleansing to the soul. You can walk for miles but swimming is not recommended for those who cannot handle the high surf in this area.

I would suggest this resort as destination for family vacations & destination weddings. There is a lot to do & many beautiful venues for a beach or gazebo wedding near the beach.

Tip-If you never take the resort carts & we did not. You can eat & drink as much as you want!

If you have not booked a winter getaway yet there are amazing travel packages still available for travel in late Jan, Feb, March & April, 2016.

Be flexible & recieve the best values.

Lert me help you escape.   Andre' Leavitt, Time Travels inc. 651-771-5666

Booking Direct Does NOT Save Money!

PLANNING A DESTINATION WEDDING OR HONEYMOON?

Booking your destination wedding, or honeymoon direct does NOT save you money!!

The best kept secret in the travel industry is that those who book direct are paying for something that they are not receiving: the services of a professional travel agent.

What do I mean by this?  You will pay my commission or service fee because it is always built into the price of your package by the very supplier who is encouraging you to book direct.    Do they discount my commission to you so you save money…absolutely not!  I realize that we live in a society where goods & services are just a click away but consider this. Once you book direct and give your credit card to the call center in Mumbai India you will receive a computer printout and you are now a computer statistic.  In other words you are on your own. Hopefully nothing will go wrong.

Now that we have determined that prices are equal why not trust the travel planners at Time Travels inc. with your destination wedding, honeymoon or anniversary trip.

For one thing I truly care about my clients and put their interests first.

SEE OUR WEDDING, HONEYMOON & ANNIVERSARY TESTIMONIALS

Our travel agents take pride in giving unbiased opinions to our clients. We are not selling off of one website from one travel supplier.  We compare the competition & offer you current options that often save you money. We advise you on the very best product that meets your travels needs.  We can point out the advantages & disadvantages of several travel companies & point out the best destination wedding location for your group.

We take inter consideration your budget for your honey vacation & also find the best bang for that buck.  We provide documentation & advice about ports & sightseeing options and many times have affiliated offices aboard. One of the most important things we do is analyze your travel insurance needs & help you make the correct decision.

Suppose something does go wrong.  Someone gets sick and your need to return home in a hurry.  Your travel agent is your advocate & will help you through it.  When booking direct you have no advocate. When my clients are traveling I know where they are and what they will most likely encounter.  I worry about them until they return.  I doubt that an online booking engine is capable of this emotion toward a travel statistic.

Dreams Cancun beach weddingI took my family on a Mexico vacation this past month to Cancun & of course I mixed business with pleasure.Always on the look for the best destination wedding locations, I made appoints with wedding coordinators at several luxury all-inclusive resorts in Cancun & Isla Mujeres.

We stayed at Dreams Cancun which is Punta Cancun, the last resort on the very tip of Cancun. An upgrade to an ocean front room & sparking wine at check in was a sign of goods time ahead.

This 5 star luxury all-inclusive resort is excellent for families & a superb ocean front wedding location if children will be in attendance. The dolphin’s which call Dreams Cancun their home are always fun to watch & yes, you can pay to swim with them too. My kids did and had a blast!! $100 dollars each for 45 minutes swim

LeBlancDreams Cancun’s beach side wedding gazebo, offers an incredible view of Cancun, which makes it a spectacular spot to marry or renew your vows in Mexico.  Or you can have a beach wedding with your feet in the sand. Cancun’s beaches are back & beautiful! The beach reconstruction is a success.

I made a point to visit Le Blanc resort & spa, the high end property of the Palace Resorts chain.  LeBlanc is an adult’s only 5 star luxury all-inclusive resort a few miles south of Punta Cancun. Simple elegance best describes Le Blanc.  As far as a destination wedding location couples have the option for a beach wedding or a sunset wedding on their west facing terrace over looking the lagoon. All Palace resorts offer a free basic wedding package as well as free rooms toward the couple’s honeymoon vacation if their group is large enough.  This is great deals for couples.

Finally I took the ferry to Isla Mujeres where I visited the 4 star all-inclusive Isla Palace (of the Palace resort chain).

This boutique style resort is small by the Palace resorts standards, only 62 rooms, but still has amenities such a spa & 24 hour room service that appeal to honeymooners & families. The open air beach restaurant is prefect for the outdoor wedding reception following the beach wedding with Cancun in the background.

Villa RolandiMy last stop was the secluded & privately owned Villa Rolandi on Isla Mujeres.  This 4 star Mexico/ Mediterranean style resort is in prefect harmony with the environment & the beach.   This intimate resort with 35 ocean view suites and a gourmet Italian restaurant on premise can be rented entirely by a wedding couple  for their group.  The Villa Rolandi’s private catamaran ferries guests directly to the resort in style.

For those seeking a quiet, elegant Mexico honeymoon or anniversary trip the Villa Rolandi is also an excellent choice.
