Delta Airlines decision to change their Sky miles frequent flyer program is causing turbulence among its members. The new program rewards those who spend more $$$ on tickets not just for miles flown.

I would imagine that the other airlines will follow suite shortly they always do. Jet Blue & Virgin Air already have a similar program. FF miles earned on Delta’s AMEX credit cards will also increase with spending. But those annual steep CC fees really hurt ...…OUCH!!!
